Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, the applicant needs to follow these steps:-
- Applicant must be a permanent resident of Delhi.
- All owners or occupiers of properties under the jurisdiction of MCD – including those:
- who have never paid property tax.
- who have paid tax irregularly
- who have underpaid tax, i.e., less tax than the actual liability
- whose tax disputes/litigations w.r.t. property tax are pending in any court of law
- who have pending or ongoing action for attachment of bank accounts or property
- All taxpayers whose cheques have bounced or been dishonored previously.

How to Do Registration for MCD SUNIYO?
To do registration for MCD SUNIYO, the applicant needs to follow these steps:-
- Visit the MCD Website.

- Once the applicant reaches the homepage of the official website, they need to log themselves by using their login credentials with their registered mobile number/registered email ID or UPIC.
- In case a mobile number is not known, then applicants can search their property details by using UPIC in the search tab, which is available on the left side of the login page.
- If the applicant wants to update or change their registered mobile number, then they need to log in to the PTR portal and go to the Old dashboard link, and raise the request by clicking on the “Update Mobile” tab using the link
- If any further assistance is required, you may visit the Zonal Assessment and Collection Department Office.
- After that, everyone can need to file their online PTR Property Tax Return by clicking on the Pay Tax SUNIYO tab.
- After that, the applicant needs to upload previous tax receipts or relevant documents.
- Now pay the principal tax amount for FY 2025-2026 and FYs 2020-21 to 2024-25.
- Once the payment is done successfully, a tax receipt and waiver certificate will be auto-generated.
