- On Tuesday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, with Agra Development Authority (ADA) has introduced the mega housing project ‘Atal Puram Township’ on the outskirts of Agra that provides accommodation to at least 10,000 families after a gap of 36 years.
- This township is being developed in the Kakua and Bhandai areas of Agra district and is named after former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who spent his childhood in Bateshwar, a village in the rural belt of the same district. M. Arunmozhi ADA vice-chairman described Atal Puram as the largest housing initiative ever undertaken by the authority.
