The primary objective of my home policy is to build a total of 35 lakh homes for EWS LIG and MIG by 2030 by ensuring that every citizen across the state has access to a sustainable, safe, and user-friendly housing environment for them. Under this policy the government allocates a total outlay of Rs 70,000 crore for the effective implementation of Mera Ghar Mera Adhika Niti. With the help of this policy every citizen across Maharashtra is able to receive affordable housing for their living.

  • Policy After Two Decades:- After 18 years, Government of Maharashtra has announced a new housing policy known as the “Maharashtra My Home My Right Policy” translates to Mera Ghar Mera Adhikar Niti is a state specific housing policy in Maharashtra that mainly focuses on increasing the supply of affordable homes in the state
  • Four Pillars of the Policy:-The four pillars of my home my right includes Affordable, Inclusive Sustainable and Resilient Housing to address economic social environment and disaster-related challenges
  • Social Inclusion:-Under this policy special measures have been proposed for senior citizens, working women, students and industrial workers in which working women and students will be provided rental housing on the other hand industrial workers will get rental homes for up to 10 years, after which ownership will be transferred.
  • Build 35 lakh Homes By 2030:- The primary objective of my home policy is to build a total of 35 lakh homes for EWS LIG and MIG by 2030 by ensuring that every citizen across the state has an access to sustainable, safe, and user-friendly housing environment for them.
  • Housing Demand Survey & Analysis:- In 2026 a survey and analysis will be conducted in all the districts of Maharashtra to assist the requirements and demand for housing which will guide future planning and implementation of the housing policy.
  • State Housing Information Portal:-For the convenience of the residence a centralised digital platform called (SHIP) will be developed by the government to facilitate data based decisions it will include House in Demand and Supply, tracking geo tagging of housing units, fund disbursement tracking, district wise land Bank integration, coordination with systems like and PM Gati Shakti artificial intelligence tools will be used for analysis forecasting and Real Time decision-making.
