About PM Awas Yojana

With the goal of “Housing for All,” the Hon. Prime Minister introduced the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-U (PMAY-U) Scheme on June 25, 2015, to offer all-weather pucca dwellings to all eligible urban families nationwide. As cities have grown throughout time, there has been an increasing demand for housing. The fast rate of urbanization and the development of new cities and towns have resulted in an ongoing increase in the demand for housing in urban regions. The country’s EWS, LIG, and MIG sectors are only a few of the income groups whose “affordable housing” demands varies greatly. All of these groups must be assisted in achieving their goals of home ownership so they can live honorable lives.
