The central government of India has approved Rs 1,705 Cr for PMAY-U Houses in Telangana 2025. For the purpose of building housing units in Telangana state under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana urban, the Union Cabinet of India has approved a total budget of INR 1705 crore. With the help of this initiative, the financially weak citizens of Telangana state will receive housing units from the Government of India and Telangana state. Finacial Aid for PMAY-U Houses in Telangana
The Union Cabinet of India released INR 1705 crore for the building of houses under PMAY-U in Telangana. According to the information, a total of 1,13,681 houses will be built by the Telangana state government under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana urban across 120 towns and municipalities. All the houses that will be built under the initiative will be based upon the Beneficiary Led Construction (BLC) component. The total budget for building all the houses under this initiative, as announced by the government of Telangana state, is INR 5684.5 crore. Out of the total, 3,978.83 crore was shared by the Telangana state government.

Objective of Releasing Rs 1,705 Cr Under Telangana PMAY-U
The main objective of releasing INR 1,705 crore under Telangana PMAY-U is to make sure the houses will be built for all the citizens and provide housing facilities to all. The Central Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee (CSMC) has reached the first installment of the total financial assistance, which is INR 682.8 crores. According to the information, each house is expected to be built within INR 5 lakh art of which 1.5 Lakh will be paid by the central government, and the rest 3.5 lakh will be paid by the Telangana state government.

- All the families who are permanent residents of India and belong to the EWS/LIG/MIG category, live in urban areas and have no pucca house anywhere in the country.
- The beneficiary who has been allotted a house under any of the housing schemes of the Central Government, State/UT Government, and Local self-government in the last 20 years in urban or rural areas, will not be eligible to seek benefits under the scheme.
- For EWS households, the citizens must have an annual income under INR 3 lakh.
- For LIG household,s the citizens must have an annual income between INR 3 lakh to 6 lakh
- For MIG household,s the citizens must have an annual income between INR 6 lakh to 9 lakh.
- According to the government special preference will be given to Widows, single women, Persons with Disabilities, Senior Citizens, Transgenders, persons belonging to Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes, Minorities, and other weaker and vulnerable sections of the society.
- The government will also make sure that if a pakka house has been provided to the parents of any beneficiary under the previous housing schemes, then the beneficiaries will be considered only after other eligible beneficiaries whose parents have not availed of any benefit under the previous housing scheme are benefited.
- The houses sanctioned under PMAY-U, which got curtailed by the Central Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee (CSMC) after 31.12.2023 due to any reason on the recommendation of States/UTs, shall not be sanctioned in PMAY-U 2.0 to those beneficiaries.

- STEP 4: Now the eligibility check will appear on your desktop screen. The citizens must enter all the details that are asked and click on the option “eligibility check”.
- STEP 5: On the next page, the citizens must complete their Aadhar authentication by adding their Aadhaar number and name per Aadhar.
- STEP 6: No, with the beneficiary survey form for all verticals of PMAY 2.0 will appear on your desktop screen, the citizens must enter all the details.
